Pride Journey Outdoors: Santa Fe, New Mexico

June 11, 2020

Santa Fe, New Mexico is known as the City Different and within one visit, you will know why. Santa Fe embodies a rich history, melding Hispanic, Anglo and Native American cultures whose influences are apparent in everything from the architecture, the food and the art. The city boasts 320 sunny days per year, so it is perfect for outdoor social distancing.

Santa Fe has long been a center for arts and culture and is one of the country's largest art markets. You'll find nearly 250 galleries and dealers to explore. If art isn't your thing, try exploring the city's natural wonders.

Santa Fe Jeep Tours – Offering pickup at multiple hotels, Santa Fe Jeep Tours is far from your typical bus tour. These off-road, gritty adventures give visitors the opportunity to experience The City Different in an entirely different way. With multiple tours to choose from ranging from desert, canyon and mountain itineraries, guests can pick and choose how they experience the Santa Fe landscape. Additionally, for movie and TV buffs, Santa Fe Jeep Tours offers a trail that takes guests through Bonanza Creek Movie Studio, which includes film locations like Silverado, Manhattan, Breaking Bad and others.

Windows on the Future – In partnership with 516 ARTS and The Paseo Project, Vital Spaces has developed a month-long storefront art installation series that will span Santa Fe, Albuquerque and Taos. Entitled, “Windows on the Future,” a collection of selected artists will have the chance to showcase their interpretation into our future whether it be right around the corner, or several years out, hoping to provide a glimmer of hope as we navigate through these uncertain times. The project is designed to beautify empty spaces and provide inspiration through this socially distant experience. Artists are set to begin preparing their installations at the end of this month, followed by storefronts displaying the selected artists’ work on July 1 with all installations remaining up for the entirety of the month.
