The destination boasts more than 22 miles of uncrowded beaches, thanks to a county-wide, 4-story height restriction (which is extremely rare in the Sunshine State), so there aren’t any towering hotels or skyscrapers overshadowing our shores or obstructing views. From private dog-friendly stretches of sand to life-guarded protected beaches with all the amenities you could ever wish for, there’s a spot for everyone. Our public beaches are also open 24/7, are alcohol friendly, and offer free parking and entry! To better assist beachgoers with mobility challenges, Martin County recently introduced a fleet of rolling beach wheelchairs. These durable wheelchairs can be borrowed (free of charge) from the lifeguard stations at three popular beaches: Jensen Sea Turtle Beach, Stuart Beach, and Hobe Sound Beach. All of Martin County’s public beaches have ADA compliant boardwalks and ramps to the beach, as well as multiple accessible parking options.
