The holiday season kicks off with tree lightings in Friday Harbor, Eastsound, and Lopez Village. While Friday Harbor's is still TBD, it's November 27th on Lopez and December 5th on Eastsound's Village Green. These events include hot cocoa, holiday treats, and photos with Santa.
In Friday Harbor, the whole town goes all out to light up the night with elaborate displays by individual businesses, and illuminated snowflakes line the streets. Step back in time to a magical European-style Christmas Market (December 11-13) . The historic Brickworks building in Friday Harbor will glow with sparkling lights illuminating an island crafts market with local food vendors, the farm producers, live holiday music, a spirits garden, and activities for kids and grownups alike.
Orcas Island's Winter Artisan Faire (December 5-6, 2026) is one of the island's most beloved holiday shopping traditions. It's a festive weekend featuring the creativity and craftsmanship of local artists and artisans. Browse a wonderful selection of handcrafted treasures, including ceramics, prints, wearable art, jewelry, textiles, photography, body care products, holiday gifts, specialty foods, and more.
Jingle, mingle, and sip during Lopez Island's annual Holiday Cocktail Competition! Between Thanksgiving and New Year's, pick up a drink passport, sample delicious drinks at participating restaurants, and get a stamp. Once you’ve tried them all, vote for your favorite, and turn in your passport to be entered into the raffle for some AMAZING prizes.
