Celebrate the Holidays in Niagara Falls USA

Niagara Falls USA is a place for all seasons, but during the winter months, visitors can experience a snow-covered wonderland. Beyond the magical icy vistas of the Falls, discover an abundance of outdoor adventure, shopping, and glistening lights—making for the perfect getaway this holiday season.

For one of nature's most spectacular views, visit the Observation Tower at Niagara Falls State Park for a panoramic snapshot of all three waterfalls at once. If you’re lucky, you may even witness the phenomena known as the “Frozen Falls.” At the Cave of the Winds Gorge Trip, travel down the elevator into the Niagara Gorge to observe the Bridal Veil Falls in their frosted glory from one of the two permanent decks. If there’s snow on the ground, borrow a pair of snowshoes and continue your wintry exploration of America’s oldest state park.

Wander through 15 acres of twinkling Christmas lights in the shape of angels and other inspirational figures at Our Lady of Fatima Shrine for its Festival of Lights (November 20, 2021 to January 6, 2022). After, climb to the top of the Basilica, decorated with a life-size nativity scene and festooned in Christmas foliage.

Sample wine, mead and cider along the Niagara Wine Trail, USA during the annual Holiday Happening event. Each two-day pass includes three tastings at each of the participating wineries once, as well as one spiral-bound wine journal to log all of your wines you'll taste during the event.

Traverse the charming streets of Lewiston and enjoy local eateries and boutique shopping. Grab coffee at Orange Cat Coffee Co., or try an authentic coal-fired pizza at Gallo. Check off all of the gifts on your list at Lewiston Love, featuring a variety of seasonal decor, unique home novelties and pet accessories. While in town, don’t miss the Christmas Walk, (December 4 - 5, 2021) a cozy throwback to Christmas of yore, with beautiful storefronts and window displays, lights parade, and more.
