Embrace Winter in Whistler

Updated: Dec 14, 2023

Winter in Whistler is magnetic, with so many experiences to have in one special place. Life is for living – it’s for broadening perspectives, embracing challenges, seeking connections, pushing envelopes, creating change and protecting what matters. And when you find a place that inspires you, that pushes you to do all these things, then you’ve found a place for what you value most.

From January 21 – 28, 2024, Whistler is proud to host the 31st annual Whistler Pride and Ski Festival, one of the biggest and best LGBTQ+ ski weeks in North America. Whistler Pride features a packed events schedule of skiing, snowboarding, parties, arts and culture and social events, kicking off winter pride celebrations around the world.

2023 saw many exciting new openings in Whistler, including Mekong restaurant, serving fine Thai cuisine in a beautifully designed space. The menus are designed by highly acclaimed Chef Angus An from Michelin starred restaurant, Maenam, in Vancouver. This year also saw the opening of the new Wedge Mountain Lodge & Spa, a luxurious, fully serviced private retreat boasting 10 meticulously appointed bedrooms, private spa facility, movie theatre, wine cellar, poker and billiards room, a bar, a dedicated children’s area, and an onsite private chef.
