Fall in Love with Stockholm with Fabulous Events this Autumn

This autumn provides many reasons to celebrate in the Swedish capital, because it’s the royal jubilee and also ABBA the Museum is celebrating its 10th Anniversary, we’re calling it a year of Vasa Kings and Dancing Queens.

1) A ‘RIGHT ROYAL’ YEAR CONTINUES

It’s a jubilee year for Sweden: it celebrates 500 years of Vasa reign, the first Vasa king ascended the throne in 1523.

It also marks the 50th year on the throne for the current King of Sweden – Carl XVI Gustaf.

The Royal Palace will be hosting celebrations this fall. More resources here: www.stockholmlgbt.com/500-years-of-vasa

2) BRING ON THE DANCING QUEENS

It is also the 10th anniversary celebration for ABBA the Museum, so there will be plenty of fabulous ABBA themed programming knowing them (and “Knowing me, Knowing you!” too.)

ABBA the Museum

Everyone is welcome at ABBA The Museum regardless of who you are or who you love. ABBA The Museum is no ordinary museum. It’s not just about the original costumes, gold records and so many other wonderful items of memorabilia – it’s about you! Feel what it’s like to be on stage with ABBA, to sing at the famous Polar Studio, or to dress up in those legendary costumes (virtually). There’s so much to experience… you’ll be having the time of your life! Walk In. Dance Out.

ABBA the Museum’s neighbours are also getting in on the celebrations. Right next door to the ABBA Museum is the all-new Backstage Hotel, a rock and roll and showbiz themed luxury property. It celebrates Stockholm’s musical, theatrical and creative prowess. It is part of Cirkus Venues, who also own the museum. The company is owned by majority shareholder, Björn Ulvaeus, one of the ‘B’s’ of ABBA.
