  • Idaho Shakespeare Festival (May 23 - Sept. 28)- Immerse yourself in timeless tales and captivating performances at the Idaho Shakespeare Festival in southeast Boise, where the magic of outdoor theater brings Shakespeare's classics and contemporary plays to life in a stunning natural setting. Patrons are encouraged to picnic, which is easy with the onsite gourmet picnic-ready provisions. This season’s performances include Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express, Into the Woods, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Always… Patsy Cline.


    Idaho Shakespeare Festival

  • Jaialdi (July 29 - Aug. 3) - Boise is home to the largest Basque community per capita outside of Spain and this summer, the city hosts one of the most vibrant Basque celebrations in the world. Organized entirely by a team of local Basque volunteers, Jaialdi is a testament to the city’s rich heritage and offers an unforgettable experience for locals and visitors alike. Expect a week packed with traditional food, drink and events, including sports competitions, lively dance performances and concerts featuring local and Spanish Basque artists, cultural exhibits and more. 


  • Boise Pride Festival - Taking place September 6-7, Boise Pride will be its biggest festival to date. Ann Morrison Park will be home to this year's festival which will feature more space, bigger crowds, and a powerful celebration of LGBTQ+ pride, visibility, and community.
