One of the nation's premier LGBTQ+ wine and lifestyle events is heading back to where it all began. Gay Wine Weekend will celebrate its 15th Anniversary in Sonoma Valley from July 17–19, 2026, bringing together wine lovers, food enthusiasts, and members of the LGBTQ+ community for an unforgettable weekend in the heart of California wine country.
What started as a small gathering celebrating pride, exceptional wines, and community has evolved into one of the country's most anticipated LGBTQ+ travel events. Returning to Sonoma Valley for this milestone anniversary makes the occasion especially meaningful, honoring the event's origins while continuing its legacy of inclusivity, hospitality, and philanthropy.
The three-day celebration will feature an impressive lineup of signature events, including exclusive winemaker dinners, curated winery tours, VIP receptions, and opportunities to experience some of Sonoma Valley's finest vineyards. Guests can also look forward to the ever-popular Drag Queen Brunch & Wine Auction, which benefits Face to Face, a Sonoma County nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals affected by HIV/AIDS.
"Returning to Sonoma Valley for our 15th anniversary feels incredibly meaningful," said Gary Saperstein, owner and organizer of Gay Wine Weekend. "This is where Gay Wine Weekend was born. And celebrating this milestone in the place that inspired it—while welcoming longtime friends and first-time guests alike—makes this year especially meaningful."
One of the weekend's most anticipated highlights will once again be the Signature Twilight T-Dance. This year's celebration moves to the picturesque Cornerstone Sonoma, offering guests a spectacular backdrop of contemporary art, lush gardens, and rolling vineyards. As the sun sets over Sonoma Valley, attendees will dance beneath the evening sky while enjoying world-class wines and celebrating the spirit of LGBTQ+ community.
Beyond the festivities, Gay Wine Weekend continues to play an important role in promoting LGBTQ+ visibility and tourism while supporting local charitable organizations. Each year, a portion of event proceeds benefits Face to Face, reinforcing the event's longstanding commitment to giving back to the Sonoma community.
Whether you're a dedicated wine enthusiast, an LGBTQ+ traveler looking for your next summer getaway, or simply someone who appreciates great food, outstanding wines, and welcoming hospitality, Gay Wine Weekend offers an experience unlike any other. From intimate wine tastings and gourmet dining to lively dance parties and meaningful community connections, the anniversary celebration promises to honor the event's remarkable 15-year journey while raising a glass to its exciting future.
Additional event schedules, ticket information, and weekend details are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
