In the heart of California’s Napa Valley, Gentleman Farmer Wines stands out not only for its sophisticated wines but also for its proud representation of the LGBTQ+ community.
Founded by husbands Joey Wolosz and Jeff Durham, the gay-owned winery is Certified LGBTBE® by the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce, marking it as a trailblazer in both craftsmanship and inclusivity.
This Pride Month, Gentleman Farmer is celebrating with purpose and style. The winery has unveiled a special limited-edition 2022 Red Wine for Pride, adorned with a vibrant rainbow label in honor of the LGBTQ+ community. Crafted from 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine retails for $129 and is available in an ultra-limited run of just 25 cases.
Described as a wine of richness and nuance, the Pride blend opens with bright red fruit—currant, cranberry, cherry, and pomegranate—followed by deeper notes of blackberry and black currant leaf. Layers of sweet holiday spice, cola, Oolong tea, and black pepper bring a compelling warmth, while a distinctive earthy undertone of mineral and loam adds lasting complexity.
More than just a beautiful bottle, this Pride release is part of a broader philanthropic effort. Throughout June, 10% of proceeds from the Pride wine—and all other wines in Gentleman Farmer’s portfolio—will benefit three impactful nonprofits: the It Gets Better Project, LYRIC, and Napa’s own VOICES, organizations dedicated to empowering LGBTQ+ youth and young adults.
In addition to its wines, Gentleman Farmer has also made waves with its Napa tasting experience: The Gentleman Farmer Bungalow, A Studio for Gustatory Well-Being. Located in a reimagined 1926 California craftsman bungalow in Downtown Napa, the stylish space—designed by Joey and Jeff themselves—blends elegance with intimacy, offering guests a taste of what it feels like to dine in a winemaker’s home. The Bungalow offers curated five-course lunches, three-course breakfasts, and an innovative “Breakfast of Champions” experience that begins with a 5K riverfront run or guided meditation, followed by wine and food pairings that elevate the morning to something magical.
With impeccable wine, design-forward hospitality, and an unwavering commitment to community, Gentleman Farmer continues to make Napa—and the wine world at large—a more vibrant and inclusive place.
