Great wine begins in the vineyard, and Hamilton Family Wines has built its winemaking philosophy around one essential ingredient: exceptional fruit.
The Sonoma County winery partners with a small, trusted group of growers, carefully matching each grape variety with the conditions where it can thrive. Pinot Noir is planted in cooler pockets, while Cabernet Sauvignon and Rhône varieties benefit from warmer exposures. The Hamilton team remains closely involved in vineyard management throughout the growing season, ensuring the fruit reaches the winery at the ideal level of ripeness and expression.
All fruit used by Hamilton Family Wines is organically managed, and each bottle is labeled according to its vineyard or appellation, allowing wine lovers to better understand the sense of place behind every pour.
The winery also farms three small Sonoma County estates. Hamilton Family Vineyard in Kenwood produces Grenache, while 6 Maidens Vineyard in Bennett Valley specializes in Pinot Noir. McGraw Vineyard in Glen Ellen grows Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvèdre and Sauvignon Blanc.
Together, these vineyards allow Hamilton Family Wines to create a diverse collection that can move effortlessly from a sunny afternoon gathering to an intimate dinner or celebratory meal.
Bright, Crisp and Refreshing
The 2025 Sauvignon Blanc from Lyon Vineyard is a natural choice for those who prefer a refreshing white wine with plenty of personality. Sourced from a certified organic and biodynamic vineyard, the wine opens with stone fruit and floral aromas before revealing zesty citrus flavors on the palate.
Crisp acidity and a dry finish are complemented by a distinctive gravel-bed minerality. Priced at $38 per bottle, it pairs beautifully with seafood, fresh salads, goat cheese or a leisurely brunch.
A Layered, Award-Winning Red
For a heartier selection, the 2023 GSM from Windsor Oaks Vineyard brings together Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre in a complex yet approachable blend.
The gold medal-winning wine features aromas of rich red fruit and plum, followed by notes of marzipan and cocoa nib. Its layered flavor profile concludes with a lingering hint of blackberry jam.
Composed of 50% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 25% Mourvèdre, the $69 bottle is an excellent companion for grilled meats, roasted vegetables, savory stews or an elegant dinner with friends.
A Rosé Made for Celebrating
With its rose-gold color and vibrant fruit profile, the 2025 Rosé of Grenache captures the carefree spirit of warm-weather entertaining.
Produced with grapes from Hamilton Family Wines’ organically farmed estate vineyard, the rosé offers a bouquet of summer berries and citrus. Raspberry and mandarin aromas lead to tropical fruit and citrus flavors, while bright, juicy acidity keeps every sip lively and refreshing.
Priced at $38 per bottle, the rosé is well suited for poolside afternoons, picnics, Pride celebrations or sunset gatherings. Its previous 2024 vintage was also recognized with a gold medal.
