New in '22: Oklahoma City

Oklahoma City saw rapid growth in 2021, and we expect 2022 to be no different. Two new hotels are coming to OKC this year. The full-service upscale Marriott Autograph Collection hotel, called The National, will transform 190,000 square feet of the 1932 First National Bank office town into a hotel with 146 rooms, 210 urban apartments and brand-new restaurants. The ground floor will be a mixture of retail, restaurants and commercial spaces. This mixed-use facility project is expected to be done in early 2022 and will also include six dining outlets, two ballrooms, a barbershop, a speakeasy and private dining options in the building. Renaissance Hotel, located in Bricktown, is also nearly finished with construction. Expected in spring of 2022, this full-service hotel will bring many amenities to the lively entertainment district we’ve never seen before.

Also new to OKC is Bar K, a bar and restaurant concept with a furry fan base. They will be the first commercial development located in the Boathouse District, featuring a bar, fast-casual dining for both owners and pets, plus two dog parks. Scissortail Park, located in downtown, is 70 acres of urban oasis extending from downtown Oklahoma City to the shore of the Oklahoma River. The first 36 acres opened in 2019 and the remaining 40 acres will open in 2022. A soccer field, sports pavilion, pickleball courts, futsal court and two basketball courts are expected in the completion of Scissortail Park.
