The Greater Phoenix area is gearing up for a transformative year in 2025 with several high-profile hotel and resort openings that promise to elevate the region's appeal to travelers and locals alike. From luxury accommodations to family-friendly attractions, these developments highlight the area's commitment to innovation and hospitality. Key projects include the entertainment-focused Vai Resort in Glendale, the ultra-luxurious Ritz-Carlton Paradise Valley, and a dual-branded AC Hotel and Element by Westin in North Phoenix. Together, these openings showcase Phoenix's dynamic growth as a premier destination for relaxation, adventure, and world-class experiences.
Here are three major hotel openings in the Greater Phoenix area for 2025:

Set to be one of the largest resorts in Arizona, Vai Resort is scheduled to open in mid-2025. Located near State Farm Stadium, the resort will feature over 1,100 guest rooms and suites, 13 restaurants, a 52,000-square-foot concert venue, and a 3-acre manmade lagoon with sandy beaches. This luxury resort aims to bring a tropical escape to the desert.
The VAI Resort in Glendale will include the highly anticipated Mattel Adventure Park, designed as a family-friendly entertainment hub. This immersive theme park will feature attractions inspired by iconic Mattel brands such as Barbie, Hot Wheels, and Thomas & Friends. Highlights include the Barbie Beach House, two Hot Wheels-themed roller coasters, a Thomas the Tank Engine ride, and experiences like the UNO! Wild Climb and a life-sized Mattel Games mini-golf course. It’s being integrated into the resort to complement its appeal as a destination for both leisure and adventure seekers.
The Ritz-Carlton Paradise Valley, The Palmeraie (Scottsdale/Paradise Valley)
Expected to debut in early 2025, this ultra-luxury hotel will anchor The Palmeraie, a mixed-use development. The Ritz-Carlton will offer 215 rooms and suites, a stunning 400-foot-long pool, and luxurious dining and wellness experiences. It’s poised to set a new standard for high-end accommodations in the region.
AC Hotel by Marriott and Element by Westin (Norterra, North Phoenix)
Opening in late 2025, this dual-branded property in North Phoenix will include 278 guest rooms, over 8,000 square feet of meeting space, and amenities like a saline pool, a fitness center, and eco-friendly accommodations. It will cater to business and leisure travelers alike.
