Pride Journey Holiday Spotlight: Hamilton County, Indiana


The holidays are on the horizon and it’s time to start planning. There is no shortage of events and things to do in Hamilton County, Indiana this winter. Here are just a few of the can’t-miss holiday events in Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, Westfield and beyond.

Saturdays and Sundays, Nov. 14 - Dec. 23 Take a festive train ride aboard the Nickel Plate Express, boarding out of Forest Park in downtown Noblesville. This half-hour ride includes a reading of the Nickel Plate Express Christmas story, a sing along and visits with Santa. Cookies and cocoa will be available for purchase, too.


Nov. 27-29, Dec. 4-6, 11-13, 18-20, 22, 23 Conner Prairie’s popular holiday festival returns for its second year with the expansive Reynold’s Christmas Lights displays, the North Pole Workshop, Polar Bear Plunge dry tubing hill, historic 1800s Prairietown experiences and more family fun.


Nov. 28 Shop small and support local businesses on Small Business Saturday. Special events include the Shop Fishers promotion.


Dec. 2 and 9 Santa is coming to The Cake Bake Shop Carmel with his reindeer for a special event for both children and adults. Guests will enjoy an elegant four course dinner, drink decadent Belgian hot cocoa, decorate a gingerbread house and more.


Dec. 4 Visit with Santa on the Historic Noblesville Square and view the holiday lights at nearby Seminary Park.


Dec. 5 Usher in the holidays with Fishers’ annual Winter Wonderland event featuring holiday lights in the Nickel Plate District to enjoy all month long.


Westfield in Lights

Dec. 5 Kick-off the holiday season with this annual celebration in downtown Westfield. Guests can enjoy games, food vendors, carolers, pictures with Santa and the Tree Lighting Celebration.


Fun with Santa and Mrs. Claus

Dec. 6 This matinee performance at the Palladium features 45 minutes of Christmas favorites presented by the Indiana Wind Symphony.


A Fireside Christmas

Dec. 6 Soprano soloist Jessamyn Anderson performs holiday songs like “Merry Christmas, Darling” and “O Holy Night” alongside the Indiana Wind Symphony at the Palladium for this evening performance.


Holiday Pops

Dec. 12 Studio singer Heather Bays accompanies the Carmel Symphony Orchestra for this annual holiday show at the Palladium.
