Washington DC Welcomes New Hotel Openings in 2025

Highly anticipated openings, jaw-dropping renovations and recent rebrands make DC’s hotel scene headline-worthy right now. The Arlo Washington, DC debuts Nov. 18, the first Arlo in the nation’s capital. It boasts a pool and year-round rooftop lounge, ART DC, as well as Arrels, a restaurant and bar helmed by award-winning DC chef Pepe Moncayo. Near The Wharf and Tidal Basin, Salamander Washington, DC just unveiled phased enhancements. The lobby and its stunning bar, pool and modernly refreshed guest suites are designed by DC’s own Thomas Pheasant, and a luxury two-story spa will soon follow. Celebrity chef Kwame Onwuachi’s highly anticipated return to the nation’s capital, Dōgon, opened Sept. 9 to national acclaim.

In early 2025, look for The Canal House of Georgetown under Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio. A five-story former office building will be combined with adjacent townhouses to create a 108-key property in the heart of charming Georgetown. Later in the spring, Mint House Downtown Washington, DC will offer high-end apartment-style rental units near McPherson Square. Hyatt House Washington, DC – Convention Center is expected to debut next summer following a comprehensive renovation and Moxy Hotel Southwest, near Nationals Park and Audi Field, is expected later in the year.
