Where Travel Connections Mean Business: IGLTA Brings 2026 Global Convention to Seville, Andalusia

IGLTA Global Convention Seville Spain

Early registration rates are available through May 31 for the International LGBTQ+ Travel Association (IGLTA) 2026 Global Convention in Seville. Taking place 17-21 November at the FIBES Conference and Exhibition Center, it is the premier educational and networking event for LGBTQ+ tourism.

Following the record-breaking success of last year’s Buyer/Supplier Marketplace — with over 3,485 scheduled appointments and buyers representing an estimated US$707 million in tourism business — IGLTA is anticipating the 2026 Marketplace to be its largest and most productive to date. This two-day marketplace remains a cornerstone of the convention, connecting buyers with LGBTQ+ welcoming suppliers.

Turespaña is offering a Fully Hosted Flight Program for up to 75 qualified international buyers, read more here.

IGLTA is proud to partner with Turespaña, Andalusia Tourism Board, and the Tourism and Culture Department at Seville City Council to bring this convention to Seville.

In 2026, LGBTQ+ inclusion is no longer a niche marketing play; it is a core business strategy for any brand looking to remain competitive. This shift reflects a global market that demands more than visibility, it requires genuine commitment and a deep understanding of the traveler experience.

“Seville is a city where queer joy is built into the culture, making it the perfect stage to host the IGLTA Global Convention. We are coming to Spain to move beyond the ‘corporate checklist’ and create the connections that will drive our industry for the next decade,” said Meg Ten Eyck (she/her), IGLTA Board Chair & CEO of EveryQueer.

“Spain is not only a leading LGBTQ+ tourism destination; it is a country where diversity is embraced with pride and equality becomes the warmest welcome,” said Miguel Sanz Castedo (he/him), CEO of Turespaña. “Our success is not the result of a strategy, but of a deep conviction: to guarantee the rights and freedoms of every person, so that every visitor feels respected, safe, and truly welcome. That is why hosting the 2026 IGLTA Global Convention in Seville is much more than an event — it is a celebration of an open, inclusive, and deeply human model of society that inspires the world.”

“This event positions the region as a whole — and Seville in particular — as an international benchmark in a highly significant segment. Andalusia is a diverse and welcoming destination, capable of connecting with a demand that places particular value on authenticity, safety, and the quality of the experience,” said Arturo Bernal (he/him), Minister of Tourism and External Affairs of Andalusia.

“Hosting the IGLTA Global Convention 2026 is both an honor and an important opportunity for Seville. This event reinforces our international position as a welcoming, diverse and forward-looking destination, fully prepared to host major professional gatherings,” said Angie Moreno (she/her), Deputy Mayor Councillor for Tourism and Culture in Seville City Council. “We are very pleased to welcome the international LGBTQ+ travel community and to be part of a convention that brings together business, dialogue and shared values.”

The convention’s opening reception will unfold at the iconic Real Alcázar of Seville, offering attendees exclusive access to one of the world’s most historic UNESCO World Heritage sites. The 2026 program features a comprehensive schedule designed to move the industry forward, from main stage keynotes and educational breakout sessions to the high-impact Buyer/Supplier Marketplace, with plenty of networking opportunities in between. The week will also feature Voyage, the IGLTA Foundation’s signature fundraiser, celebrating the global impact of the association’s philanthropic work.
