Winter Wonder in the Art Coast of Michigan

Celebrate the season with holiday happenings and events steeped in small-town charm and tradition. From sparkling celebrations to house tours with decked halls, Saugatuck/Douglas captures the holiday spirit in memorable ways. On December 4, take part in a horse-drawn wagon ride, photo ops with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and other family-friendly activities during Winterfest at the historic Felt Estate. Throughout December, both guided and self-guided tours of the Felt Mansion will be available, showcasing the property’s festive holiday decorations with more than 20 decorated Christmas trees and 5000 twinkling lights. Join us during the evening of December 4 at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts’Outdoor Holiday Market, where holiday shopping becomes a jolly party. Here, you can enjoy craft cocktails, delicious food, and live music as you peruse Michigan-made wares and other artisan hand-crafted treasures. Give yourself a reason to be merry with a seasonal performance of A Christmas Carol, a holiday classic brought to life by community performers. Eight shows will be presented at the Saugatuck Woman’s Club from December 10-19. And don’t forget to ring in the New Year with us on December 31 at Coral Gables, where the party of the year kicks off, followed by a stunning firework display over the Kalamazoo River.
