Winter Wonderland: Temecula Valley, California

Temecula Valley, a one-hour drive from Southern California’s major cities like Los Angeles, Palm Springs, and San Diego, is the perfect place to celebrate the Christmas season. During the holidays, Temecula Valley turns into a town full of Christmas lights and holiday spirit – it looks like a scene straight out of a Hallmark Christmas movie. Visitors and residents enjoy carolers, horse-drawn carriages, twinkling lights, outdoor ice skating, live theater performances, unique restaurant, and more during the wintertime.

During the month of December, Temecula Valley Wine Country celebrates Temecula Chilled. This month-long celebration includes colorful light displays, special “chilled” menu items, “A Holiday Taste of Old Town,” and plenty of made-in-Temecula products and great gift ideas for shopping. Chilled menu items will be offered at various participating restaurants throughout the destination for outdoor dining and takeout. From decorated buildings in Old Town, and the lighting of the Christmas tree in front of city hall, to the vineyards adorned with festive lights in wine country, Temecula Valley will be bright with holiday cheer this year.

Additional Winterfest activities throughout the season include Pechanga Resort & Casino’s gingerbread display, with over hundreds of gingerbread houses and the special holiday concerts are always a great time. Another festive stop is the Farm at Peltzer Family Cellars for family fun at an ice rink, enjoy their magical tree lighting ceremony, and don’t forget your special visits with Santa.
