Starting November 20 through January 3, Winterlights presented by Bank of America will illuminate The Garden at Newfields for the 10th season. This annual festival celebrates the holiday season with stunning displays of lights and holiday magic like no other. Featuring over three million individual lights across nearly 52 acres, Winterlights is a can't miss tradition for the season.

"This momentous anniversary is a great source of pride for Newfields. Since its debut in 2017, Winterlights has welcomed thousands of guests and has become a tradition for families across central Indiana," said Le Monte G. Booker Sr., President and CEO of Newfields. "Winterlights serves as yet another incredible experience that can only be found at Newfields. I am so proud that this festival is celebrating its tenth anniversary, thanks to the dedication of our staff, sponsors and above all else our incredible guests. I look forward to sharing another decade of holiday magic with our community."

“Since Winterlights began, Bank of America has proudly served as its presenting sponsor, helping create a beloved holiday tradition that brings people together,” said Andy Crask, President, Bank of America Indianapolis. “As one of Indy’s cultural treasures, Newfields offers families and friends a spectacular place to celebrate the season and connect as a community.”

This year, Winterlights presented by Bank of America will be bigger and brighter than ever. As guests move through The Garden, they can see incredible new displays and elements. See a meteor shower frozen in time, with massive, illuminated stars that match the magic of the season at Starfall. Then, fawn over our newly designed finale tree, the Marquee Maple, which will be literally dripping with hundreds of lights descending from each branch creating the ultimate show stopping scene.

Also debuting this year is a new interactive element, moonGARDEN, by Canadian-based Lucien. This installation will give guests an exciting new way to interact with the wonder of Winterlights. A sweeping lawn near the Beer Garden, will be filled with color changing orbs ranging from 18 inches to 12 feet. The largest orbs will feature shadow shows depicting iconic scenes from Newfields, while smaller orbs allow their colors to melt and shift through the night bathing the space in light.

New additions come alongside delights from Winterlights past. Iconic snowy snacks like s’mores kits, cookies, popcorn and the famous hot cocoa will be available at Tinsel Terrace sponsored by Bailey’s, Bulleit Frontier Whisky and Smirnoff. Special seasonal refreshments like apple cider spiked with Bulleit Bourbon and Smirnoff peppermint hot cocoa will also be available. Outside Lilly House, guests can take in the iconic swirling patterns of Landscape of Light sponsored by LML Landscaping & Estate Management. Inside, see Lilly House dressed to the nines in holiday decor with Styled for The Season sponsored by LINNEA.

In honor of the 10th anniversary, one element will be making its return to stand beside Winterlights staples. Returning from the first year of Winterlights almost a decade later, Playtime in Indy by artist Karl Unnasch will bring holiday cheer to guests new and old. This much anticipated installation is made nearly entirely of secondhand toys sourced from Whale of a Sale, a local consignment sale.

No trip to Winterlights is complete without a stop by Wintermarket sponsored by Marian Inc. Located in the Randolph H. Deer Events Pavilion, guests can take home incredible holiday finds or grab those last-minute gifts.
