Immerse yourself in holiday cheer and Gilded Age opulence as you tour the Mills family's lavish 79-room mansion overlooking the Hudson River at Staatsburgh State Historic Site in Staatsburg, N.Y. "A Gilded Age Christmas" tours will be held on select dates from Nov. 27–Dec. 20, 2026. Admire the home’s stunning interiors, specially decorated for the holidays, along with their original furniture and art as it appeared at the turn of the last century.

The grand estate is truly a marvel to behold, and its history is quite fascinating. The mansion was one of five homes owned by Ogden Mills and his wife, Ruth Livingston Mills. They hosted many extravagant parties attended by all the rich, famous, and powerful high-society figures of the time, as seen featured in the HBO television series, "The Gilded Age."

There are wonderful programs and themed tours at the mansion all year round, including the "Gilded Age Scandals!" tour and the "Tales of the Titanic" tour. Ogden and Ruth had tickets for the Titanic's return trip, which, of course, never happened because the ship sank on its maiden voyage.
