Akron/ Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau Receives Seven STAR Awards

The Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau (ASCVB) received seven STAR Awards from the Ohio Association of Convention & Visitor Bureaus (OACVB) during their September 16, 2021 meeting and awards luncheon in Columbus Ohio.

In the $1 million and above overall budget category, the ASCVB was recognized with the following: 1st place STAR Award – Marketing Campaign – Summit Brew Path; 1st place STAR Award – Web Site – seeakronnow.com; 2nd place STAR Award – Marketing Campaign – The Drip Drive; 2nd place STAR Award – Social Media Campaign – [RE]activate akron; 2nd place STAR Award – Travel Guide – 2020-2021 Akron/Summit Visitors Guide; 2nd place STAR Award – Brochure/Rack Card – 2019 The Year In Review; and 2nd place STAR Award – COVID-19 Response Marketing – akron[RE]bound. “We share these awards with our wonderful Greater Akron hospitality industry partners,” states Jim Mahon, Vice President of Marketing & Brand Management. “Their resilience, creativity and collaborative spirit – now more than ever – provide the foundation upon which our local hospitality industry rests.
