Whidbey Wild Mushroom Tours, Saturdays now through December 13
Get to know all about the local species of fungi on this unique wild mushroom tour on Whidbey Island. You’ll get first-hand knowledge from a mushroom expert as you venture out into the forest on this guided tour. Coffee and breakfast will be available to purchase from OSM Eats. Pumpkin Patch at Scenic Isle Farm, Saturdays and Sundays through October 31
Weekends throughout October, families can hop on a trolley ride out to the pumpkin patch and enjoy activities for all ages. Beginning October 11, the Haunted Barn offers spooky thrills from 1–5 p.m. ($7 admission, recommended for ages 12+). For lighter fun, the Sunflower Spook features playful trails, a straw tower, and games perfect for the whole family.
Practically Magic Halloweekend, October 23-26
The charming town of Coupeville played host to Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, and other celebs as the backdrop for fall’s favorite film, “Practical Magic.” To celebrate this cult classic, the town comes alive with a variety of activities including a screening of the popular movie October 23-26 with showings beginning at 6:00 p.m. Activities for 2025 include:

In its 27th year, the Camano Island Chili Chowder Cookoff is the annual competition showcasing some of the best professional and amateur cooks preparing their unique versions of chilis and chowders. A virtual farmers market, Whidbey Island Grown Cooperative’s Food Hub is comprised of more than 50 local farms and producers. This holiday season, they are offering a selection of curated items from local makers that can be purchased as stand-alone gifts or compiled into a gift basket.
