Fall in Love with Tupelo, Mississippi

Home to the birthplace of Elvis Presley, Tupelo, Mississippi (population around 38,000) in northeastern Mississippi is a hidden gem and often underrated travel destination. With its drool–worthy culinary scene and vibrant musical influence, Tupelo is a little bit of country and a whole lot of rock-and-roll.

In the fall months, visitors can enjoy leaf peeping on the 444-mile tree-canopied Natchez Trace Parkway (headquartered in Tupelo); sip on some honey wine at Queen’s Reward, Mississippi's first and only meadery; or embark on an Elvis-inspired bike tour that connects travelers with “The King’s” favorite childhood hangouts, including the Elvis Presley Birthplace museum.
