Kylie Minogue Responsible for Second 'Padamic' this Decade

It's Kylie's world and we are all just living in it. The Princess of Pop saved many of us during the COVID-19 pandemic when she released Disco, spawning fan favorites including "Magic", "Say Something" and "Where Does the DJ Go?" among others. The album was exactly what the world needed during that challenging time.

However, Kylie is the cause of yet another Padamic with the release of "Padam Padam," a song that has taken the world by storm since being released a little more than a month ago. Nobody could have predicted the success of "Padam". It literally gained traction overnight and became the darling of TikTok and Twitter within days of its release.

Since then, Kylie has appeared on American Idol, made a surprise appearance at Capital FM's Summertime Ball, and flew back across the pond to headline KTUphoria in New York.

Kylie has developed a new legion of fans who are just now becoming familiar with her work. It is going to be fun watching these fans discover and learn about Kylie's extensive catalog of music which spans 5 decades.

What is surprising is that Kylie is finally gaining some momentum in America, a market that hasn't paid her much attention since her "Can't Get You Out of My Head" days. She has achieved sporadic success in the U.S. with "Slow", "All the Lovers" and "Dancing", but it seems like her renaissance in America has only just begun. Maybe this time we will learn what the world already knows...the Princess of Pop is really the Queen!

Her new album Tension arrives everywhere on September 22.
