Rock Hill Pride Festival Announces 2022 Events

The Rock Hill, South Carolina Pride Festival has announced its multi-day lineup for the event’s second festival, with the theme “Coming Out, Again!”. What started as a grassroots campaign to celebrate the Rock Hill area LBGTQ+ community in 2021, has evolved into a true city-wide celebration of support, even being able to secure financial donations for Campus Pride. The 2022 festival will run in downtown Rock Hill, just 30 minutes South of Charlotte, June 23-26 at multiple locations. High profile events include a lbgtq+ vendor market, a pride pageant, a unity march and will end with an internationally acclaimed drag queen, Buff Faye, leading two drag shows.

The 2022 Rock Hill Pride Festival tentative schedule is as follows:

Thursday June 23: Unity March for Equality through downtown Rock Hill

Friday June 24: Various Downtown Business Events

Saturday June 25:

10am- 2pm Rock Hill Pride Festival with lbgtq+ vendor market in downtown Rock Hill

8pm-2am Rock Hill Pride Pageant at Hideaway Bar & Grill.

Sunday June 26: Buff Faye’s Drag Brunch at Kounter, with two showings at 11am and 3pm

As festival event planning continues, downtown businesses will be curating additional events, such as disco parties, karaoke events, dance contests, maker classes, story time with drag queens and specialty offerings. This festival is funded purely off donations and in-kind support with an effort to provide ally services to the lbgtq+ community.
