Winterruption is excited to announce their 2024 entertainment for this annual event in Edmonton. This year’s lineup which even features RuPaul Drag Race UK champion, Lawrence Chaney! With Indigenous artist, Asko, and drag performers like Jiz Elle, Margaret Snatcher, and Tequila Mockingbird, Winterruption aims to create an inclusive environment with a variety of talent. This year’s festival will run from January 24-28, 2024, and serves as Edmonton’s most anticipated winter culture and music festival. This multi-venue music and arts festival rolls out in multiple venues in downtown Edmonton alongside a number of free outdoor activities in the downtown core.
With event prices ranging from free to $49 weekend wristbands, the aim of the community winter arts festival is inclusivity and promotion of the arts in a snowy setting. Every show will also be subject to a safe and inclusive space policy, and a number of events will be geared towards all ages and family communities, as well as 18+. Programming will be diverse and inclusive, in genre, gender, sexuality, age and culture.
