World-class concert hall to be a new must-visit in Turkey


Despite the Pandemic, Turkey continues to being a host to a variety of dazzling, entertaining, informational and captivating cultural events for locals and fellow art-lovers. The Presidential Symphony Orchestra (PSO) is making final preparations for the grand opening of its new concert hall in the capital Ankara. The much-anticipated launch will kick off with a grand gala event on December 3-5.


The opening ceremony of Turkish Presidential Symphony Orchestra’s new building and the ground-breaking gala opening ceremony will take place with the participation of President of the Turkish Republic Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy. The new PSO concert hall will breathe new life and will become a new cultural hub for music and fine arts lovers.


The gala opening concert will host world-renowned soprano Angela Gheorghiu and Güher-Süher Pekinel, considered one of the best piano duo in the world. The Symphony will be led by the highly acclaimed, Cemi’i Can Deliorman, one of the most sought-after conductors of the younger generation.


With its unique architecture as being a cultural and musical hub, the venue will host spectacular live music inside the building complex with 2023 seats capacity. The “Grand Hall'' with 500 seats capacity, “Blue Hall'' with 600 seats and “Historical Symphony Hall” will be integrated shortly after restoration. The venue will quickly establish itself as a meeting place for culture fans with its restaurants, museum and open air spaces and it will top the “must-visit” lists in Ankara for travellers from across the globe.
